The East Irondequoit Central School District has announced the hiring of Daniel Reger as the new Lancer Varsity Boys Soccer coach.
Reger, a Spencerport native, has been playing and coaching Soccer for over 20 years. He most recently coached the JV & Modified A Boys Soccer teams at Eastridge. Previously to coaching, Reger was an All-Greater Rochester High School selection at Spencerport, played four years collegiately at Division II Roberts Wesleyan College, three years at the semi-pro level, and two years professionally.
"We are ecstatic to have Coach Reger join the Lancer Family" said East Irondequoit Athletic Director Kyle Vacanti. "Coach Reger is a skilled coach who, in his short time, working with our student athletes has been able to make many meaningful connections. Coach Reger will, without a doubt, motivate, challenge, and inspire our athletes to perform to their highest capabilities. We are confident that the combination of his coaching skills and our athlete’s passion, will translate to an exciting brand of Soccer."
"I can’t wait to get started, working with the athletes of Eastridge" said Coach Reger. "In my short time at Eastridge, I see the potential in our players, and I want to put our athletes in a position to be successful, and that starts with getting our athletes to play more. "
There will be an introductory meeting with Coach Reger on Wednesday, December 22nd at 6:00pm. This meeting is open to all 6th–11th grader Soccer players and their families. Families that have questions should contact the athletic office or Coach Reger at danielreger2016@gmail.com. This is a great opportunity to meet the coach and get the off-season started for all the returning players.
